History
From the perception of social responsibility and a commitment to uplift the children by dint of imparting them the light of education apart from giving them all sorts of privilege including their participation in games and sports regularly and in creative activities like drawing, singing, dancing, recitation etc. Chalantika Nursery & K.G. School was established. The chief architect of this school, Sri. Sannyasi Kapat, after investigating the academic infrastructure of the then Children’s schools, Govt. and Non-Govt. in and around Fatepur, arrived at the conclusion that children in majority are deprived of and neglected in having ‘Quality Education’. In him dawned the self-realisation that unless children’s foundation is firm, strong and permanent construction is extremely difficult to erect upon it. Children need Value Education, Progressive and radically changed system of Education which will enable them to face any challenge in future. Such education will be absolutely different from that of conventional method of education. Children will learn their lessons at school with the target of reaching at their destination - formation of a bright career for holding their heads high and standing on their own feet, besides being ideally perfect personalities in the long run in our society.
Therefore, with this solemn mission work of construction of Chalantika School started. The site selected for the school building was initially diametrically opposite to that of its present shape. It was cut from the crowd, very secluded and lone, it would be an ideal seat of education in future, which the founder of the school meditated. But he was, broadly speaking alone. Difficulties he faced but with resolution and unbreakable will-power he moved onwards. One Director of Birla Factory assisted him financially. During those days of struggle a small school building consisting of a few rooms was set up. Honourable Assistant Head Master of Fatepur Sreenath Institution Sri. Sankunath Jana and Sri. Arun Kumar Banerjee, the honourable H.M. of the same school proposed to name the school as “Chalantika” which means progress, development, incessant effort to go forward and dynamic and it was accepted. The founder of the school had dedication, so at that initial stage when he confronted stiff difficulties, he did not given in to frustration. So he came out victorious in setting up an ideal school, with ideal atmosphere and principally with ideally dedicated teachers who helped him a lot in making Chalantika a reliable school of the children – the future of a Nation.
